Celebrating Business Appreciation at the Ridge

Mason County, WA – August 22, 2025 – We recently hosted our annual Business Appreciation event at the Ridge Motorsports Park Performance Center, and it turned out to be the perfect afternoon to celebrate our local business community. The sun was shining, the setting was lively, and the energy in the room reminded us why Mason County is such a special place to do business.

Guests enjoyed a great spread put together by the Ridge Motorsports Park catering team, with a generous addition from Taylor Shellfish who donated their own Ekone brand smoked oysters and smoked salmon. Having their products on the table was a real treat, and something many of us look forward to picking up again at their store.

Of course, no appreciation event is complete without prizes. This year’s big raffle included a brand-new Weber grill, an ORCA cooler, and grilling gear that got everyone excited. We also had some fun door prizes, including beer, an Arctic cooler, and a personal AC unit. The drawings kept the afternoon lighthearted and full of laughs.

One of the most memorable parts of the day came from above. Skydive Kapowsin put on an incredible airshow with parachutists landing right on the Ridge’s go-kart track. Guests even had the chance to take the go-karts for a spin themselves, making the experience one-of-a-kind.

We could not have pulled this event together without the support of our sponsors. A huge thank you goes out to Peninsula Credit Union, Our Community Credit Union, Mason County PUD No.1, MACECOM, Heritage Bank, Mason Transit Authority, Hood Canal Communications, Skydive Kapowsin, Builders First Source, Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council, Port of Shelton, Mason County PUD 3, Sierra Pacific Industries, Taylor Shellfish, and the Shelton Family YMCA. Your continued support makes events like this possible and reminds us how strong our community truly is.

Looking back, the event was more than just a gathering — it was a chance to connect, share some laughs, and show appreciation for the businesses and partners who keep Mason County moving forward. We’re already looking forward to next year.
