EI. Kristyn & Son Construction, Inc. Joins MasonEDC Membership!
Mason County, WA – September 9, 2026 – This month, MasonEDC is excited to welcome EI. Kristyn & Son Construction, Inc. as one of our newest members! Family-owned and operated, the company celebrated 24 years in business this June. Founded in 2002, the same year Eileen and Tim’s daughter Kristyn was born, the company’s name was created to represent some of the most important people in their lives, their children Clint and Kristyn.
Tim has been working with his hands since he was 17, starting out cutting firewood and building fences. He later worked as a logger in Alaska, Oregon, California, and Washington before eventually making his way into construction. Completely self-taught, he has built an extensive knowledge of construction and building codes over the years, along with an incredible attention to detail. Eileen brought a different skill set to the business, with much of her professional background centered around customer service. She worked in traffic consulting, routing shipments across the country, and eventually worked her way from a customer service representative to leading the department. She later went on to work in banking and at a record storage facility. Together, their backgrounds helped shape a company that puts just as much value on taking care of its clients as it does on the quality of the finished product.
Today, EI. Kristyn & Son Construction, Inc. handles projects throughout Mason County. Custom home building is their bread and butter, followed by excavation and demolition, but their work also includes remodels, pole buildings, garages, French drains, site utilities, and more. One thing that sets the company apart is its ability to work with clients throughout the entire construction process, from preparing a site all the way through a turnkey home. With more than two decades of experience, they have also become pretty good at knowing what a client may need, even when the client does not quite know they need it yet.
About eight or nine years ago, Eileen and Tim made the intentional decision to focus their work exclusively in Mason County. Keeping their business local is important to them, and whenever possible, they purchase from local suppliers and work with local subcontractors. For Eileen and Tim, that means the impact of a project does not stop with their own business. The dollars spent building a home or completing a project can also support other contractors, suppliers, and businesses right here in Mason County.
That local focus carries over into the relationships they build with their clients. After more than two decades in business, many of the people they originally met as customers have since become friends. Eileen said one of her favorite parts of the job is simply how kind their clients are and getting the opportunity to help someone create their dream home. She describes Tim’s approach by saying that he will build a client’s home as if he were building it for his own mom, with an attention to detail that can come down to an eighth of an inch.
Customer service has been just as important to the company from the very beginning. Eileen said customers have specifically told her how much they appreciate being able to reach an actual person when they call. “We actually answer the phone,” she said. “I try my best. We have done that from the very beginning.” When someone is trusting you with something as important as their home, that personal connection matters, and it is something Eileen and Tim have worked hard to maintain throughout their years in business.
When asked to describe EI. Kristyn & Son Construction, Inc. in just a couple of words, Eileen chose “community minded,” and that philosophy is also part of what led the company to become a MasonEDC member. Eileen has been involved in the community for years, including previously serving as president of the Mason Health Foundation and with the Chamber, but she did not realize until recently that MasonEDC offered a membership program. Once she learned more about the organization and the work happening throughout the county, she knew she wanted their business to be part of it.
“I saw the momentum and wanted to be a part of it,” Eileen said. “I wanted to support this mission because we believe in investing in Mason County, supporting local businesses, and helping our community continue to grow.”
That investment in Mason County is already a big part of how EI. Kristyn & Son Construction, Inc. does business. By choosing to work locally, purchase from local suppliers, and partner with other local contractors, their projects help create opportunities for other businesses while building the homes and infrastructure our growing community needs.
After 24 years in business, Eileen and Tim are proud of the relationships they have built and the community they get to serve. Looking ahead, they hope to continue doing what they do best: helping people build their dream homes, supporting other local businesses along the way, and playing their part in building Mason County’s future.
For those considering building a new home, EI. Kristyn & Son Construction, Inc. is also offering a special for September and October. Customers who sign a new custom home contract during either month will receive $5,000 credit toward an appliance package for their new home.
MasonEDC is proud to welcome EI. Kristyn & Son Construction, Inc. to our membership and excited to have another community-minded local business investing in the future of Mason County.
