Exciting Opportunity: Skokomish Health and Wellness Program Seeks Sustainability Consultant

The Skokomish Indian Tribe is inviting qualified professionals to submit proposals for the role of Sustainability Consultant for the Skokomish Health and Wellness Program (SHWP). This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in health-related program management, community engagement, and funding strategy development.

About the Skokomish Health and Wellness Program (SHWP)
The SHWP is undergoing an exciting transformation aimed at expanding services for chronic disease prevention and management. This initiative blends health education with culturally rich activities that reflect the traditions and needs of the Skokomish community. The program has been developed through a two-year process involving direct community feedback.

The Role of the Sustainability Consultant
The selected Sustainability Consultant will play a critical role in enhancing the SHWP by:

  • Assisting in the review and revision of program strategies, activities, and timelines.

  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensuring compliance with work plans, budgets, and care coordination efforts.

  • Conducting program evaluations and supporting ongoing community outreach efforts.

  • Assisting in revenue generation strategies, such as negotiating program contracts and identifying new funding opportunities.

Key Details:

  • Compensation: $75 per hour

  • Hours: 45-55 hours per month (for the first year)

  • Location: Hybrid role, with an on-site presence in Shelton, WA anticipated for 1-2 days per week initially.

  • Contract Period: February 14, 2025 – December 31, 2025 (with possible extensions based on performance and funding availability).

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of three years working with tribal, state, or federal health-related programs.

  • Experience in securing funding and developing program infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of Washington State health-related programs and regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with Skokomish traditions and culture is preferred.
