Daniel Berner, Attorney and Owner, Berner Law Office, PLLC
Mason County, WA – March 4, 2026 – Berner Law Office, PLLC, in Shelton has recently joined MasonEDC’s membership, and we’re excited to highlight owner Daniel Berner.
Daniel is a lifelong Washingtonian. Although he was born in Texas, his family moved to Mason County when his parents found new jobs here. A proud High Climber, Daniel graduated from Shelton High School in 2001 before heading to the University of Washington in Seattle for his undergraduate degree.
Daniel knew from a young age that he wanted to practice law. Initially inspired at 12 years old after reading legal thrillers by John Grisham, he set his sights on becoming an attorney. That early inspiration eventually led him back home to open his own practice right here in Mason County.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Daniel attended Seattle University School of Law. He went on to work in King and Snohomish counties before gradually making his way south in 2014, working at private law firms in Thurston County. In 2021, Daniel made the leap to become his own boss and launched Berner Law Office in Mason County.
Today, Daniel specializes in helping small businesses get started and grow. From forming LLCs, to providing small business advising and government compliance assistance, he is equipped to support a wide range of legal business needs. He also assists with real estate transactions, purchase and sale agreements, easements, development and zoning issues, litigation, and more. Daniel particularly enjoys working with entrepreneurs and says the energy they bring is one of the best parts of his work. He has already helped facilitate the transaction of many local Mason County businesses.
Daniel’s commitment to the community extends beyond his practice. In 2021, he joined the Shelton-Mason County Chamber and later became a board member. A self-described people person, Daniel enjoys helping others solve problems. He is also an active member of Olympia Master Builders and volunteers at his children’s school when possible. He believes supporting small businesses is a meaningful way to connect with like-minded individuals in what can otherwise sometimes be an isolating profession.
Danielle Stratford, Paralegal for Berner Law Office, PLLC
Berner Law Office, PLLC is currently a two-person team: Daniel and his paralegal, Danielle Stratford, who has been with the firm since May 2021. Danielle is also a Shelton High School alum.
