Recap: SBA Workshop on SBA Programs, Contracting, and Funding Opportunities for Mason County Small Businesses
Mason County, WA – October 30, 2024 – MasonEDC, in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), recently hosted a workshop on SBA programs, contracting, and funding for local businesses. Resource partners included Business Impact NW, Washington Apex Accelerators, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Washington Center for Women in Business (WCWB), Washington State Microenterprise Association (WSMA), Taala Fund, and KeyBank, with over 20 attendees participating.
WSMA introduced its Evergreen BizLink platform, offering 24/7 access to resources for entrepreneurs, including training, funding, and expert guidance.
The SBA highlighted the 8(a) Business Development Program, which provides federal contracting opportunities, mentorship, and tailored business support.
The Taala Fund, based on the Quinault Reservation, promotes financial inclusion by offering loans, education, and technical assistance to small businesses in Native communities.
WCWB supports women entrepreneurs through mentoring, courses, and personalized advising to foster business growth throughout the state.
USDA programs promote rural development with funding, grants, and services that aid farmers and small businesses while supporting sustainable communities.
Business Impact NW focuses on underserved communities, providing business coaching, training, and access to funding, with specialized programs for women, veterans, and minority entrepreneurs.
