May Kicks Off Mason County Small Business Scavenger Hunt

In Mason County, we embrace a unique approach to celebrating Small Business Week, an annual event recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). This year, the celebration will take place from April 28 to May 4, 2024. To add our own flair to this important occasion, we have extended the celebration to a month-long observation. We are excited to announce our collaboration with local chambers, Shelton-Mason County Chamber and the North Mason Chamber to organize a county-wide small business scavenger hunt. This free family event offers numerous opportunities to participate, earn Mason County-themed prize baskets, and support our local businesses. Join us for a month of fun and celebration!

Mason County Small Business Scavenger Hunt Rules 2024:

Simply put, find the QR codes hidden throughout participating businesses and screenshot the codes for later submission. The goal is to visit at least 50% of the businesses within a certain route in order to be considered for a drawing to win Mason County themed prize baskets. Each small business QR code you scan and submit counts as one entry into the drawings. There are opportunities for bonus entries with the harder to reach businesses. If you find them you will receive up to five bonus entries. You may also earn extra entries by submitting “fun photos” from the approved list above. If you choose to share images from your adventure to social media, please consider using these hashtags, #MasonCountyStrong or #SmallBusinessMonth.
